Just two evenings ago as I lie down to sleep, I specifically asked the Lord concerning the timing of these things that are soon to come upon all the earth. As I fell asleep, I had a dream in which I heard these words spoken three times: “Stay ready at all times and when I say leave, leave.” When I awoke, I immediately wrote the words down in my prayer journal, as is my habit. Since that morning, I have had a heightened level of anticipation in my heart.
Notwithstanding, there have been many disparaging words released because the month of September has come and gone with seemingly no “earth-shattering” consequences. The prolonging of judgement only means more time to repent and bring others into the fold. I am not one to throw my hat in with Jonah who became angry because YHWH did not immediately destroy Nineveh, but responded to the cry of repentance that ascended from the King and pauper alike.
Most assuredly, judgement is on the way. We who have been assigned as “watchmen on the walls” and those who are sensitive in the spirit feel it in the atmosphere; the foreboding is tangible. We do not rejoice over this knowledge; grief is much more reflective of our hearts condition. The storm is right on top of us.
Back to the dream; the voice instructed me to “stay ready at all times…” This imperative is first spiritual and secondly physical. We currently do not have the luxury of harboring unforgiveness and bitterness. These two sins are rampant in the church and will absolutely derail one’s destiny. Unforgiveness separates us from the forgiveness of the Father. The Gospel of Mark, Chapter 11, Verse 25 clearly states: “And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your, Father, also, which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” This is a very simple “law of the Kingdom.” Forgive, so you can be forgiven. If you refuse to extend forgiveness, you will lose the gift of forgiveness from the Father. Period.
Bitterness is an off-shoot of unforgiveness; but needs to be confessed separately. It colors our world and our speech with dark shades of past offenses. Now is not the day or the hour to re-hash old hurts. Now is the time to be free from the dark shadows of bitter words and experiences. Most assuredly, we must, “look diligently least any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you and thereby many be defiled.”(Hebrews 12:15) Today, is the day to examine your heart with the light of the Holy Spirit and repent quickly; do not justify or qualify, repent!
“Most Gracious Heavenly Father, I ask in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, your only begotten Son, that you would forgive me of all bitterness and unforgiveness. I come broken over my own stubbornness and self-righteousness, knowing no one is justified in Your sight. I freely forgive all who have hurt me, all who have harmed me, all who have hindered and harassed me. I forgive them and Father, I ask you to forgive them. Bless them all, Father. Thank you for cleansing me from the root of bitterness. I lay the ax at the root of this defiling spirit. I confess bitterness in my heart and ask you to forgive me for harboring this enemy of my soul. I release all those that have fostered bitterness in me and I bless those that have embittered me. Father, please minister peace to me and to those I have held captive by my bitterness toward them. I thank you merciful, Father, for your Word that declares:
If I confess my sin, you are faithful and just to forgive me of my sin and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Amen.
The Voice in the dream instructed me to “stay ready” at all times. Spiritually speaking, we are to keep short accounts and stay “prayed up.” In the physical, I felt an urge to pack a bag. Some preparedness- sights call this the “bug-out” bag. Concisely, this bag would contain essentials in case you have to leave your home on a moment’s notice. I will share with you what is in my “bug-out” bag. 1) Important papers. This includes the family’s passports and birth certificates. Or other pieces of identification 2) Cash money that we have withdrawn and is currently in our home vault. 3) Any meds that are taken on a regular basis, plus emergency pain relievers or other OTC’s. 4) At least one complete change of clothes for all members of our familyk. 5) Individual Life-Straw water purification containers. 6) Bibles. I have a separate bag for Bibles and Christian literature. Just collecting all the Bibles in the house netted me over a dozen. 7) Flashlights. 8) Keep you gas tank full.
“…when I say leave, leave.” Preparing your heart to obey the Lord’s directive is a must. Settle it now, that when the Lord makes it clear to you that you need to leave, leave. Do not debate, and do not dismiss the inner witness. I am confident that I heard the Lord clearly in my dream. I know beyond doubt that He told me to “…stay ready at all times and when I say leave, leave.” However, He did not tell me where to go. This is a bit disconcerting. In sharing my dream and my concerns with a dear friend, she assured me that when He says “leave,” at that hour, He will also reveal the location of safety.
When she told me that, I breathed a sigh of relief, as those words bore such a witness in my heart.
I thought it was prophetic, last night’s program of the Jewish Jesus, by Rabbi Schneider. He said that we should not worry about losing our “stuff” because when we have “The Lord” we have everything. His was referencing the flight of the Children of Israel from Egypt. They left in the middle of the night with just the things they could carry on their backs, but for forty years they never suffered lack. For forty years, neither their clothes nor their sandals wore out. The Almighty fed His children with manna and provided water from a rock…for over three million people. Enough said.
Time is short. The storm is upon us whether we can feel the wind blowing or not. Let me encourage you today, “stay ready at all times and when you hear the words ‘leave,’ leave.” Amen.
