According to the Word of God, our unseen attendants are every ready to assist us in our journey here on earth. If our spiritual eyes were suddenly opened, we would see the spiritual atmosphere around us full of ministering spirits....both holy and unholy. The spiritual atmosphere is activated by words...our words, either for evil or for good.
Hebrews 1:14..."Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation." Our angels are with us and they are listening to our conversations. What are they listening for?
For the Word of God: "Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, obeying the voice of His Word." (Ps.103:20) Do we have ears to hear what the Psalmist is revealing to us here? The spiritual world is ready to be activated on our behalf. They are inclining their ears in obedience to obey His Word. As we speak the Word, His Word, they spring into action on our behalf. Mighty warring angels with great strength and power to overturn the enemies schemes against our lives.
When Jesus was in the crisis of the pre-trial Gethsemane he struggled against the enemies lies and prevailed after sweating as it were great drops of blood. In his agony, as he prayed, "Father, not my will but thine" , the Holy Angels were loosed to strengthen him: And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening him. (Luke 22:43) As the saints prayed for imprisoned Peter, an angelic answer was sent: Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldier; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. Now, behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell off his hands. Then the angel said to him, "Gird yourself and tie on your sandals," and so he did and he said to him" put on your garment and follow me." (Acts 12:5-17)
These are but two examples of the invisible becoming visible and the intangible, tangible on our behalf. The Lord has assigned to us the necessary help to see that our lives are secured and our destinies completed as we follow Him. Sometimes, our physical eyes are rewarded with seeing our helpers in techno-color. This happened to me one Sunday morning in the sanctuary of our small border-town church. Our Pastor, had experienced a trauma early that morning when a head on collision occurred just a block from his home. Hearing the horrendous explosion of metal against metal, he ran to the accident. Death was hovering all around the vehicles. He did what he could. When he arrived at church he was still being ministered to by the angels of death and asked for special prayer. Leaders of the Body came forward to surround him in the prayer of deliverance. I happened to walk into the sanctuary at the very time they began to pray. However, I stopped immediately and in awe I stood gazing at the four very tall men dressed in three piece suits standing behind Pastor with their hands laid upon his shoulders. My mind tried to figure out who they were. "Wow", I thought,"they must have called in pastor's from other congregations to intercede. I was amazed at their similarity in appearance: all well over 6 feet tall, dark hair swept back from their foreheads, light gray suits.; all fervently praying in one accord. ....later when I questioned the Pastora about who was praying for Pastor, she said it was Ruben, Ismael and herself, but Ruben had on a purple shirt, Ismael's was a pale yellow and of course Lucy had on a dress. ...the ministers I beheld were tall "men" dressed in business suites. When I inquired of the Lord, the Spirit of the Lord told me that they were ministering Angels sent to strengthen the Pastor. WE ARE NOT ALONE!
