Therefore, recognizing that prophecy is legitimate we still have to discern by the Holy Spirit which prophecies to pay attention to. Jesus foretold, or prophesied, that in the end times many false prophets would appear and deceive many people. (Matt. 24:11) We must be able to judge these prophetic words by the light of the Word of God and the affirmation of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us. “Try every spirit.”
(I John 4:1)
Being a student of prophecy, I regularly examine several webpages to see and hear what is being released to the Body of Christ through the prophetic giftings. Some of the sights that I glean from are: TruNews with Rick Wiles, Z3news with James Baily, Dr. Patricia Green’s Joy Ministries, Mena Greben, Glenda Jackson, Charisma News, Prophecy News Watch and Israeli Live News. However, I do not receive cart blanche everything I read. I read, compare the spoken prophecy with the Word of God and ask the Holy Spirit to confirm. I admit it is not an easy assignment and I am many times frustrated with the opposing sounds coming from the same Body of Christ.
It was during one of these moments of frustration that the Holy Spirit took me to an interesting passage of scripture:
“And the LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab king of Israel into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’ “One suggested this, and another that. Finally, a spirit came forward stood before the LORD and said, ‘I will entice him.’ “By what means?” the LORD asked. “I will go and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said. “You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD: ‘Go and do it.” So now the LORD has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of these prophets of yours. The LORD has decreed disaster for you.”
I have to understand that when one prophetic voice is prophesying “peace and safety” and another is declaring, “certain destruction.” One is operating under the influence of a “lying spirit.”
This brings me to the most current prophecies concerning the imminent demise or restoration of the United State of America. One prophetic stream has declared the judgments of the LORD are set in stone and cannot be reversed. Another declares there is still time to turn the great ship around. Another has “heard” the next president will restore America to her righteous estate. So which is God-breathed and which comes from the lying spirit.
I will briefly share what I feel the Holy Spirit has impressed upon my heart. Then, I would hope that every reader would present that word to the scrutiny of the Spirit within your own heart with openness and discernment.
First, discerning the times we live in must be held to biblical accountability. The time clock of the world events is not synchronized to the government of the United States of America, but to the tiny Nation of Israel. Keep your eyes on the middle east. Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:33 …”So likewise when you shall see all these things, know that it is near even at the door. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away till all these things be fulfilled.” Just based on the establishment of Israel as a nation, we know that we are to learn the parable of the fig tree which states; “When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: so like wise when ye shall see all these things, know it is near even at the door.” Are we the terminal generation? The Word of the LORD to my spirit is “watch Israel.”
Second, is personal revelation. In seeking the LORD about current events and where we are on the time line of history for the US, He responded: “What have I already revealed to you?” In response, I remembered the dream that was given to me the night after the “Supreme” Court overruled legitimate matrimony in favor for perverse, anti-Christ inspired homosexual unions. In this dream I saw three tornadoes approaching. Many people were standing out in a field and I was screaming for them to take cover, but not one was paying any attention. I finally ran into a shelter that was huge, but very few people were taking cover. I wanted to stay near the door to see the storm, but the Spirit said that I should go as deep into the shelter as I could go. Obviously, the dream portends the coming disaster that is even upon us and no one is paying attention. The shelter is the Lord Jesus and we must go as deep as we can into our relationship with HIM for our safety and well being (Ps 91).
In seeking further clarification, the LORD impressed upon my heart, “I have showed you what I want you to know.” Based on this personal revelation I am certain that the out come of the election will not change the storm. Our hope is not in Washington D.C. but at what happened on Calvary in Jerusalem, around 33 AD.
Many voices have been released upon us in this hour. Many are deceiving spirits. The good news is that we do not have to be deceived. The Holy Spirit has been given to lead us into all truth and show us things to come. (John 16:13) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. (Prov. 3:5-6) We are not without understanding, try every spirit and despise not prophesying. Now is the time that we must learn to hear the voice of the LORD for ourselves and heed not the voice that contradicts the Spirit of the Living God. Dark days are ahead because Jesus said night comes when no man can work but we are to continue to work while it is day. The evening is approaching, but we are commissioned to continue living the gospel until the final rays of light wane into dusk. Take courage my brothers and sisters, nothing can separate us from the love of God neither tribulation, not distress, nor persecution, nor famine, nor nakedness, nor peril nor sword, nor death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, …nor EMP attacks, nor earthquakes, nor tsunamis, nor volcanoes, nor asteroids, nor Planet X, nor martial law, nor invasions, nor democrats, nor republicans….”shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8: 35-39, emphasis mine) AMEN.
